Doug's Project 365

Doug's photo blog — originally a photo a day, now not so much

Month: February 2026

March of Technology

Going through a closet today to free up some space for our upcoming bathroom renovation, I came across an Apple Newton. In comparison to modern cars, one from 1993 (assuming it runs) works fine on contemporary roads, still not all that different in its basic intended purpose after 33 years. A handheld computer of that same age? Not so much.

Permanent now

This snowbank has been here (Boston, on my walk from office to train) for long enough to get marked up by DigSafe.

That didn’t take long

The fancy new fare-enforcement turnstiles at South Station are wrapped up like arborvitae, waiting for warmer weather or better software or something.
