I am pretty sure I’ve never seen a pileated woodpecker in the wild before today. And I’m thrilled to have gotten a half-decent photo, too!

Moon

We looked at Jupiter last night, trying to see any detail through binoculars or other optics, without success. The moon, though, was much more cooperative.

Groovy!

The city is repaving our street this season, and yesterday they made what Lis and I call “groovy pavement” in front of our house.
