Our cats have a fountain water dish to drink from, because… cats. It has a little electric pump that, a few times over the years, has stopped moving water. Fortunately it’s a $9 part so we’ve just replaced it several times.
This last time, once the replacement arrived, I decided to take one of the old ones apart to see what goes wrong. As it turns out, they come apart easily without tools, and what’s wrong is that they get dirty and need cleaning.
So now we have 3 spares.

We got out for one last paddle early this morning before heading home. I think this is the same wood duck from yesterday’s photo.
