Back at work today after my office was closed for 2 days by the blizzard. Quincy has a ways to go: the space in front of the brick building is typically a parallel parking zone.
Can I cry over spilled beer? I heard a “Whump!” in the kitchen this morning and went to investigate what Ferrous had knocked over. Nothing! One of my growlers of homebrew (in the pantry) broke due to pressure. What a mess! The last growler (depressurized) is now in the fridge.
We’re getting the first significant snow of the season today. It’s the wet heavy kind of snow that makes everything pretty, but is a PITA to deal with.
So… let’s say you’re the owner of a small restaurant. You’ve got a ton of wine corks from your (thankfully) hard-drinking customers. You have a hole in the floor where a radiator used to be, that’s letting in cold air. What do you do? Something like this, probably.
This is the external keyboard that came with my new work laptop, and the keyboard that came with one of my first Macs in the early 1990s. Except that they’re both Apple-branded, they could not be more different. The old one is by far preferable to type on, and so that’s what I’ll be using.
