I am not a big fan of white wine. But this one is acceptable, and cheap enough that I don’t feel bad about cooking with half the bottle.

Michael and I are FedEx-pooling, shipping our skis to & from Utah to avoid hassle & airline fees.  Here are my skis, back in the car for the short drive to Waltham. With two people sharing the expense it winds up a tiny bit cheaper this way, too.

Kitz Woods is the hardest glade I’ve skiied at Jay Peak. It’s steep, the lines are tight, and the trees are mostly conifers so you usually can’t see the other end of your chosen turn. I’ve been in there twice before in my skiing career. But today it was full of soft snow and we skied it 3 times.

Fortunately, this is a sign we did not encounter much of today at Jay Peak

The door to our ski condo is quite snowy.  This is a good sign for tomorrow.

We got samples of our chosen kitchen cabinet door & countertop materials today.  The pull is a candidate, but not a decided selection.

This is my car coffee mug.  That I carried it into the office with me this morning — instead of leaving it in the car as I usually do — indicates I probably should have put more coffee in it before leaving home.

I purchased this clock, probably at Lechmere, when I was still in college. Yesterday it suffered a catastropic fall that broke the movement off the back of the face.  I was able to repair it tonight using that old college staple, FunTack.

We got a globe from my parents for Christmas.  Here’s a random spot on it.  Who can tell me where it is (no fair consulting Google)?

Being sick, I went through a lot of flannel this week.
