Lis is usually the one to play with a straw wrapper in a restaurant as we wait for dinner. This evening, it was my turn.

My favorite kind of leftovers: pie!

It’s the rare 3-clawed lobstah!

(not really. I just stuck another claw underneath.)

Our yard in Newton is not as large as the one we had in Southboro, but it still holds a clambake.

The Taza Chocolate Company in Somerville, MA makes Mexican-style stone-ground chocolate. It’s not for everyone, but I like it.

It’s even more important to support this local company right now because their brand-new factory was recently flooded by excessive rain.

Thunderstorm over downtown Boston this afternoon.

I missed getting a lightning strike in this photo by less than half a second.

Finally some nice enough weather to sit outside before dinner with a glass of wine.

I wanted to get a picture of the storm tonight. Alas, it was too dark. So I’m making do with a picture of the weather radar.

For those times when just dumping your existing long-handled spatula, tongs, etc. into a bag just isn’t good enough.
