Lis invited me to an exhibit opening at the Children’s Museum tonight. Which was all very nice, but my subject today was across the Fort Point channel.

I liked the contrast of this old boat on the channel vs. the modern dinner service at the Intercontinental.

I can’t believe I’ve gone 8 months of Project 365 without posting a picture of myself.  Well here I am, pictured today because of the paint in my hair.  I did a mustard-ectomy on the trim in our guest room today, in an effort to make the room less, um, mustard-colored.

I am usually a pretty fastidious painter — sometimes not even getting any paint on my hands.  But for some reason, today I got paint all over myself.

We walked down and surprised Rachel and Fred this evening (because we can) and “made” them go out for ice cream.

This is Coney Island in West Newton center — a fabulous name for an ice cream store if you ask me.  The ice cream is good too.

I went and looked at ranges today — the 1983 builder’s special stove in our kitchen is just not gonna cut it.

From left to right, we have Fisher&Paykal, BlueStar, Bertazzoni, and DCS.  Not shown off to the right were Thermador, Bosch, and Electrolux; Viking gets its own room.  I will probably wind up with the BlueStar, which is the new company name for Garland, the brand we left behind in Southboro.
